■Background of new service release
NICONICO Rent a Car is always looking for ways to make travelling to Japan more convenient for its customers. By including Pocket Wifi with its car rentals, NICONICO Rent a Car is making it easier for customers to book everything at once.
■New service outline
A Pocket Wifi (4G Mobile Internet tethering device) option will be available at the time of car rental booking for 4 NICONICO Rent a Car stores, directly operated by MIC Co., Ltd. (New Chitose Airport, Narita Airport, Haneda Airport, and Fukuoka Airport). This will save customers the trouble of booking each service separately.
The Pocket Wifi device will be able to be used immediately after picking it up at an Airport Counter, making it extremely convenient for customers.
This service is possible due to a partnership with Telecom Square Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Yuji Yoshitake, hereinafter referred to as Telecom Square).
To introduce this new service, the Pocket Wifi rental will be provided free of charge to customers who reserve a rental vehicle before Dec. 31, 2018.
