“wasabi” is a media website that introduces Japanese culture and contents to foreign users. In late October — less than 3 months since its August beta release — the website earned more than 500,000 monthly unique users and reached 500,000 likes on its Facebook page.
“wasabi” started with an objective to share information about Japan its art and creative works to everyone, without any country or border limitations.
wasabi’s broad range of content aims at capturing the user’s interest in various aspects of Japan, such as Japanese culture and traditions, regional information, food, fashion, and more.
In order for users to learn about Japan’s most authentic trends and customs, wasabi mainly features Japanese writers sharing the latest trends from Japan.

wasabi’s content is currently available only in English, however, with web accesses from more than 200 countries around the globe, multi-lingual support is currently under development and its first features will be launched within the year.
