Gora Kadan to Open Second Japanese Luxury Resort in Mt. Fuji Area in 2025

Gora Kadan (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO Ryutaro Hashimoto) is excited to announce that it will open a new Japanese luxury resort on a 50,000 square meter site (Subashiri, Oyama-cho Syunto-gun, Shizuoka) overlooking Mt. Fuji, a World Heritage Site. This will be the second traditional Japanese luxury resort under the preeminent Gora Kadan brand.

Gora Kadan will further evolve and expand our service offerings, which combines world class hospitality and traditional Japanese hospitality, currently offered at Gora Kadan in Hakone, along with a superior Japanese restaurants onsite featuring options beyond Kaiseki cuisine. The new resort will provide the highest level of food, service and hospitality in addition to our all luxury suites and villas.

To meet the discerning needs of our domestic and international high-net-worth clientele who demand the highest level of luxury, Gora Kadan Mt Fuji will be an all-suite resort, which will include a private swimming pool and connecting suites with a maximum area of approximately 300㎡.

Only 42 luxury suites will be built, making it equivalent to the size of Gora Kadan in Hakone, where the best omotenashi and hospitality can be provided. All suites will feature open-air or outside onsen baths with beautiful views of nature, including Mt. Fuji. The common spaces will be decorated in traditional Japanese style and along with superior hospitality will impress guests from around the world and provide them with complete first-class accommodations.

The Villa Suites consist of three separate buildings, all of which can be used as completely independent private spaces. The suites will be able to meet the needs of VIP guests from Japan and abroad who value more privacy.

Fuji’s unique alkaline hot spring, which originates 1,500 meters underground, will be fully utilized at the resort. The special hot spring is richly gentle on the skin and highly effective for beautifying purposes. This unique water will be enjoyed from the large bathing area, for a relaxing and pleasurable l time while gazing at Mt. Fuji, as well as in the guest suite’s private onsen bath.

The resort will also include a unique and attractive 36-hole golf course for guest usage. In addition, the first-class reputation of the spa at Gora Kadan in Hakone will also further upgraded and expanded at this resort. The new spa facility will offer a wide variety of menus and treatments while greatly expanding the relaxation space, providing the best in healing and wellness to meet the needs of our highly conscious guests seeking an authentic experience.
