TOKYO, July 16, 2019 / — As part of Japan’s Friendship Ties Program “JENESYS 2019” promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 10 young Cambodian politicians will visit Japan from July 17th to 25th.
In this program, they visit Yamagata Prefecture and inspect the activities and votes of the House of Councilors election. And in Tokyo, they visit the legislative, administration, judicial institutions, etc. and deepen their insights on multiparty system. This program aims to provide opportunities for reference, for sake of them and promote the establishment of Cambodia’s future multiparty democracy.
Through this Program, it is expected that the relationship between Japan and Cambodia will be strengthened, and they, coming from Cambodia, will actively transmit the attractiveness of Japan to Cambodia.
