CHIBA, Japan, Sept. 24 – Agricultural Production and Sales Promotion Division, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Dept., Chiba Prefectural Government
Visit “Chiba Fair” in Bangkok
Chiba Prefecture is a beautiful region full of nature, located right next to Tokyo, the capital of Japan. Those of you who have visited Japan may recall that it is the prefecture that is home to Narita International Airport and Tokyo Disneyland.
From that prefecture, “nashi” (Japanese pears) as well as a variety of sweets made with peanuts will be brought to the “Chiba Fair” in Bangkok. These Japanese delicacies are all for sale at the fair. Chiba is the largest producer of both nashi and peanuts in Japan.
When Governor Kensaku Morita of Chiba Prefecture was granted an audience with Her Royal Highness Maha Chakri Sirindhom in August last year, he had the honor of presenting nashi to Her Royal Highness. We hope that many people in Thailand will have a chance to try sweet and delicious nashi.
The “Chiba Fair” is under way at the Central Food Hall (inside the Central Department Store chain’s Chidlom store) and Tops Market (Central Pinklao store) for 15 days from September 18, 2013. You are cordially invited to these stores, where they can try tasting delicious nashi.
