HIGHLIGHTS
Thailand
- Subcompact car segment sales rebounded, with Almera (2,440 units) and March (960 units) leading sales.
Australia
- Pulsar (1,120 units), Navara (940 units) and Dualis (940 units) were the main contributors of the sales.
Indonesia
- The all-new Grand Livina, launched in May, reported sales of 3,410 units.
- March (770 units) and Evalia (740 units) also performed well for the month.
Malaysia
- Edaran Tan Chong Motor achieved its best-ever July sales with 5,010 units, up 59% versus the prior year.
- The newly introduced Serena S-Hybrid, launched in July, has received more than 1,000 bookings.
- Almera posted another solid month with 3,200 units sold.
“Sales recovery in the subcompact car segment in Thailand has shown that the impact of the first-car buyer incentive program’s expiration is beginning to lessen,” said Takayuki Kimura, Nissan regional vice president for Asia and Oceania. “Our market share across the region was 6% in July, which is in line with our mid-term business plan. With many new product launches planned in the coming months, I am confident that we will see a pick-up in our sales.”
