1st AUTOMOTIVE WORLD Nagoya Concluded on a Very High Note -Despite the attack of Typhoon 21st, More-than-expected Number of Visitors

1st AUTOMOTIVE WORLD Nagoya, a sister show of AUTOMOTIVE WORLD which is world’s largest show for the advanced automotive technologies held in Tokyo in January every year, was held in Nagoya for the first time from Sep.5-7, 2018. Despite the public transportation mess caused by typhoon No.21, it turned out that the number of visitors was more-than-expected 36,812 and the estimated amount of business generated between exhibitors and visitors throughout the 3 days reaches 24 billion JPY.

 

Opened with Grand Opening Ceremony – aprox.2,000 Attendees

On the morning of Sep.5, the first day of the show, grand opening ceremony was held. 33 top executives of automotive industry, etc., attended the ceremony, and Mr. Takashi Kawamura, the mayor of Nagoya city delivered a speech.

 

Co-held conference also gathered attention of the industry

At the same time with the exhibition, 60 conference sessions were held. Top executives and engineers of car manufacturers of Japan and world addressed hot topics such as Autonomous Driving, Quantum Computing, EV, Solid State Batteries, etc.
